Origin

Do you have any questions?
You don’t need to be an expert to enjoy coffee, but understanding a few concepts can help you savor it more. Here we answer the most common questions.
What does "tasting notes" mean?
These are natural nuances perceived when smelling and tasting coffee. They aren’t added aromas, but rather a reflection of its origin, variety, processing, and roasting. You can find everything from chocolate, nuts, and cereals to flowers, citrus fruits, or berries. Discovering them is part of the experience.
What is roasting and why does it matter?
Roasting is the cooking process for the coffee bean and is key to defining its flavor, aroma, and body. A lighter roast highlights acidity and fruity or floral flavors; a darker roast enhances body and bitterness. At Cafès Pont, we primarily work with medium roasts because they are versatile, balanced, and bring out the best in each origin.
Can I use this coffee with a super-automatic coffee machine?
Yes. All our whole bean coffees are designed to work perfectly in super-automatic coffee machines. You just need to adjust the grind and strength to your liking.
How long does it stay fresh?
To preserve its full aroma and flavor, we recommend storing the coffee in a cool, dry place. The best before date is two years from the packaging date. Once opened, it’s best to consume it within a few weeks to enjoy it at its peak.
Are the coffees certified as organic or sustainable?
Some of our varieties are certified by organizations such as the Rainforest Alliance and the CCPAE organic label. Furthermore, Cafès Pont holds ISO 22000:2018 certification for food safety and collaborates directly with producers who implement responsible practices at the source.
What does the sensory profile of coffee mean?
The sensory profile describes how coffee is perceived in the mouth: its body, acidity, flavor, aroma, aftertaste, sweetness, and consistency. It’s a way to understand the complete experience in each cup, from the first sip to the last nuance. At Cafès Pont, we analyze each coffee to guarantee a rich, balanced, and consistent experience, tailored to different tastes and times of day.
